Maths week 2016

Míle buíochas to everyone involved in Maths Week 2016 here at Celbridge Community School! Students experienced a week filled with a range of fun and interesting Maths activities, along with some great prizes too! Some examples of the activities included:

  • Daily problem solving activities
  • 1st and 2nd Year Table Quiz
  • Drop Everything and Sudoku!
  • 'Have you got Maths Eyes?' poster competition
  • 'How many sweets in the jar?' competition

Students also engaged in a numeracy focus in all of their subjects throughout the week, receiving Pointí Gradam if they could be the first to explain to their teachers how the topic of study was related to Maths.

Well done to all of our winners and all students that took part.

Celbridge Community School Lá Spóirt 2016

This day was fun filled packed day that took place in Celbridge GAA club on Monday 23rd of May. Where the whole school took part in various activities and sports. It was a very enjoyable day and we would like to give a big thank you Celbridge GAA for making this all possible with providing us with such outstanding facilities.

Wellness Week 2016

Wellness Week took place in Celbridge Community School promoting Well-Being among our Daltaí. Highlighting the importance to look after themselves and ensuring they are happy therefore helping them reach their full potential in school.

Celbridge Community School awarded WorldWise Global Schools Passport

Celbridge Community School's Development Education Committee were delighted to attend the WorldWise Global Schools Conference in Thomond Park to collect our WWGS Global Passport. The WWGS Global Passport is an award for excellence in Development Education and Celbridge Community School received the 'Diplomatic Passport,' which awards for 'an establisged engagement with DE.' This award recognises the excellent effort from all of our students in the schools first year, including iniatives such as the Team Hope Shoebox Appeal, FairTrade Fortnight, GOAL workshops and our Development Education noticeboard.
